Sidewalks
A good standard width for a concrete sidewalk is 48 inches. Sidewalks are generally 4 to 6 inches in thickness. There are different ADA requirements for Sidewalks and we cover them all. Some need to be Marked with Yellow ARMOR-Tile and some do not.

Curbs & Gutters
Concrete Curbs are most known as mountable curbs or barrier curbs. Barrier curbs are found inn parking lots. They provide a barrier between vehicles and areas vehicles do not belong. Curbs can have a Gutter, also known as a Concrete Apron. This is found mostly along residential streets and parking lots to help remove water. There are also tapered concrete curbs which are helpful for wheelchairs and shopping carts.
ADA Concrete Ramps
ADA Ramp Specifications Require a 1:12 ramp slope ratio which equals 4.8 degrees slope or one foot of wheelchair ramp for each inch of rise. For instance, a 30 inch rise requires a 30 foot handicap wheelchair ramp to be compliant with handicap accessibility laws. ADA Guidelines Require a Minimum 5' x 5' Flat, unobstructed area at the top and bottom of the ramp.
